Blog 2: Why did I choose this programme/career?

All my childhood I wanted to be an astronaut, even until now. I never had another “dream job”. Actually when someone ask me what is my dream job I say: “I want to be an astronaut”, of course they always laugh and repeat their question or asks me if it is a joke.

I have always loved the science and all that include. When I started having chemistry classes I really love it, a lot more than physics and biology. I think that could be thanks to my teacher, because I felt the classes that he was doing were very motivating.

After having a new favourite class I started to watch videos of chemistry topics, like the atoms, chemical reactions, etc. One day my best friend recommended me a serie that it’s about chemistry, Breaking Bad inspired me too much because in this series are mentioned a lot of chemical terms (not just drug stuff). Thanks to these motivations I choose the chemical elective in my school, and I keep learning more interesting things about the chemistry.

Actually I am studying chemistry. My experience in university is very good, I love to study this career, and I have a lot of goals to my future as a chemist.

I really love to spend time in the lab, for this I think that the kind of job that I will like is one in that I spend the most of the time in a laboratory.

And I never discard to work on something related with astronauts, like a NASA’s program. :)
