Blog 7: A CAREER-RELATED WEBSITE / AN EXPERT ON YOUR FIELD

Today I am going to talk about a website of the periodic table that is one of my favourite websites about chemistry.

This website is called Ptable, It was founded a year before Google, in September 1997. It was founded by Michael Dayah. The website has so many options to see, for example you can see all the chemical elements –that are updated-, the description of each one of them, and if it is not enough the website has a connection with Wikipedia.

In this picture you can see the home-page of the web site. It is so interactive; you can click any element and learn about it. In this website you literally have all the information of all the elements, like the discoverer, the amount and type of orbitals, the isotopes and its concentrations, the electronic configuration, the state of matter at any temperature, and so more interesting information.

I tend to visit this website at least two days per week. I like it because it helps me a lot when I want to study, and the way the website is presented is so striking, and is so easy to find all the information - with a click you can see all the history of an element-, also you can print any picture of the website without having to take a screenshot and if you want to print the periodic table, you can choose the information of each element in it.
